Kevin Gritten

Kevin Gritten is the co-owner and operator of Champions Barber & Beauty Academy in Waco, Texas, where he plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in the school’s growth and success. With a background in business and marketing from Texas State Technical College, Kevin oversees operations including finance, payroll, advertising, and strategic development.

Alongside his wife, Lorraine Gritten—a master barber with over 40 years of experience—Kevin helped build Champions into one of the region’s most respected barber and beauty training institutions. Since its founding, the academy has expanded its programs to include barbering, cosmetology, esthetics, and nail technology, while maintaining a strong focus on student success and career readiness.

Kevin is passionate about creating opportunities for students to not only learn their craft but also understand the business side of the industry. He is committed to fostering a culture centered on professionalism, customer service, and real-world preparation. Through his leadership, Champions Academy continues to impact the Central Texas community by developing skilled professionals ready to succeed in the beauty and barbering industries.
